Ingredients
Scale
1 pound fresh asparagus, tough ends trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Wash and thoroughly dry the asparagus spears. Pat them very dry with paper towels to help them crisp.
Place the dried asparagus in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat lightly.
In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
Sprinkle the cheese mixture over the asparagus and toss until the spears are evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Arrange the coated asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the asparagus is tender-crisp and the coating is golden brown and crisp.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For the best crispiness, ensure the asparagus is completely dry before oiling and coating.
If you want a lower-carb option, serve with a side of plain Greek yogurt mixed with lemon juice instead of store-bought dipping sauces.
If the coating starts to brown too quickly, reduce the air fryer temperature to 370°F (188°C) for the remaining cook time.
