Ingredients
Scale
1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup finely chopped peeled apple
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 4 rectangles. Pinch the seams together to form one large rectangle.
In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough. Scatter the chopped apples over the cinnamon-sugar.
Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough.
Cut the roll into 8 equal slices.
Place the slices cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze.
Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
Notes
For a stronger apple flavor, you can use a slightly larger apple or add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Ensure the crescent dough seams are well-pinched to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
Adjust the amount of glaze to your preference.
