You can make this incredibly flavorful, restaurant-style Texas Roadhouse Salmon right in your oven. This recipe delivers tender, flaky fish with a smoky, sweet, and savory glaze, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or when you need an impressive meal fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve better texture. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. This is your sweet and savory glaze.
  4. In a separate small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
  5. Brush about half of the prepared glaze mixture generously over the seasoned salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the fish is mostly cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven. Garnish immediately with fresh chopped parsley. Serve your perfect baked salmon right away.

Notes

  • For extra crispy edges, you can briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, watching constantly.
  • This recipe works well with both thick center-cut fillets and thinner tail pieces; adjust baking time slightly based on thickness.
  • If you prefer a thinner glaze, reduce the brown sugar slightly or add a teaspoon of water to the glaze mixture.
