Ingredients
Scale
1 pound bacon, cooked until crisp
1 large head iceberg or butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed
2 large ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup mayonnaise (or preferred low-carb substitute)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Cook the bacon until crisp. Drain the bacon on paper towels and set aside.
Prepare your lettuce: ensure the leaves are dry. You will use these as your wrap shells.
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, black pepper, and garlic powder together. This is your seasoned spread.
Take one lettuce leaf. Spread a thin layer of the seasoned mayonnaise mixture on the inside surface of the leaf.
Layer a few slices of tomato on the mayonnaise.
Place 3-4 strips of the crispy bacon on top of the tomato.
Gently wrap the lettuce around the filling. You can secure it with a toothpick if the wrap is loose.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Serve immediately for the best crunch.
Notes
For an extra zip, add a dash of hot sauce to your mayonnaise mixture.
If you prefer a richer flavor, try using avocado oil mayonnaise.
Keep the tomato slices thin so the wrap holds together better.
Make sure your lettuce leaves are completely dry before assembling to prevent a soggy wrap.
