Ingredients
Scale
1 Baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Ripe Pear, thinly sliced
4 Ounces Blue Cheese, crumbled
1 Tablespoon Honey (optional, for drizzling)
Fresh Thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the crostini are golden brown and crisp. Remove from the oven.
Top each warm crostini with a few slices of pear.
Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese evenly over the pear slices.
Return the crostini to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes, just until the cheese begins to soften slightly.
Remove from the oven. Drizzle with honey, if using, and garnish with fresh thyme leaves before serving.
Notes
Choose a firm but ripe pear; Bosc or Anjou work well.
If you prefer a milder flavor, use Gorgonzola Dolce instead of a sharper blue cheese.
You can prepare the crostini base ahead of time; store them in an airtight container after they cool completely.
