- 1 bag (10.5 oz) marshmallow bits
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
- 12 lollipop sticks
- Red and green sprinkles (optional)
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place crushed candy canes in a shallow dish.
- Melt white chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted white chocolate and insert it about halfway into a marshmallow bit.
- Repeat with the remaining marshmallow bits and sticks. Let them set for a few minutes.
- Dip each marshmallow pop into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Immediately roll the coated marshmallow in the crushed candy canes, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated pops on the prepared baking sheet.
- If desired, decorate with extra sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
- Allow the pops to harden completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
Notes
- Use a food processor or a rolling pin to crush the candy canes.
- Feel free to use milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
- Add a drop of peppermint extract to the melted chocolate for an extra flavor boost.
