Enjoy this amazing Caprese Stuffed Garlic Bread. It takes the classic flavors of Caprese salad and stuffs them inside warm, cheesy garlic bread. Anya created this recipe, and it is perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. This is your garlic butter base.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise, creating two halves. Do not cut all the way through; keep the bottom crust intact like a hinge.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut surfaces of both bread halves.
  5. Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese over the garlic butter on both halves.
  6. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes and chopped basil evenly over the cheese layer.
  7. Place the two halves back together.
  8. Wrap the bread tightly in aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Carefully unwrap the foil. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.
  11. Return the bread to the oven, unwrapped, and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  12. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use good quality, fresh mozzarella for the best melt and flavor.
  • You can add a drizzle of balsamic glaze just before serving for extra tang.
  • If your bread is very thick, you may need to increase the initial baking time slightly.
