You asked for the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick, and Sasha is here to deliver this easy copycat recipe! This refreshing side dish combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping. It is perfect for potlucks, holiday gatherings, or as a delightful dessert salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green works best)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it is smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Beat these ingredients together until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the creamy dressing over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Mix these topping ingredients well.
  7. Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the dressed grapes.
  8. Cover the dish and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the creamy dressing and chop the pecans a day ahead of time. Store them separately.
  • If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This salad is excellent served cold as a side dish or a light dessert.
