Make delicious, creamy deviled eggs with a perfect balance of sweet honey and tangy mustard. This recipe brings a fun twist to a classic appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Drain hot water and immediately cover eggs with ice water. Let cool completely.
  4. Peel the cooled eggs. Halve them lengthwise and carefully scoop the yolks into a medium bowl.
  5. Place the empty egg white halves on a serving platter.
  6. Mash the yolks thoroughly with a fork.
  7. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks.
  8. Mix until the filling is completely smooth and creamy. Sasha suggests tasting here; add more mustard if you like a stronger kick.
  9. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly back into the egg white halves.
  10. Sprinkle the tops with paprika before serving.

Notes

  • For extra smooth filling, press the mashed yolks through a fine-mesh sieve before mixing in other ingredients.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, add an extra splash of vinegar.
  • You can substitute regular mayonnaise with light mayonnaise to lower the fat content.
