Prepare a rich, creamy garlic butter gnocchi entirely in one pan for minimal cleanup. This recipe is fast and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  3. Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi starts to lightly brown.
  4. Pour in the broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook until the liquid reduces slightly, about 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the gnocchi.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  7. Stir in the chopped parsley just before serving.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thinner sauce, add a splash more broth or cream at the end.
  • You can add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes with the cream for extra vegetables.
  • Use store-bought shelf-stable gnocchi for the quickest results.
