Ingredients
Scale
1 package (8 ounces) crescent rolls
1 package (12 ounces) little smoked sausages or cocktail wieners
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon water
3 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough. Separate the dough into individual triangles.
Cut each triangle lengthwise into halves or thirds, depending on the size of your sausages. You want pieces just large enough to wrap around one sausage.
Wrap a piece of dough around each sausage, pinching the seams to seal it completely.
Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
Brush the tops of the wrapped sausages lightly with the egg wash.
Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning generously over the tops of the rolls. Anya suggests pressing down lightly so the seasoning sticks well.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and puffed.
Serve warm and watch them disappear!
Notes
You can use puff pastry instead of crescent rolls for a flakier texture.
For an extra savory kick, add a tiny smear of cream cheese on the dough before wrapping the sausage.
Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce like honey mustard or ranch dressing.
