Ingredients
Scale
1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
For Marinara Sauce:
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the marinara sauce: Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, and red pepper flakes if using. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep warm.
Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough into 12 equal strips.
Take each strip and gently twist it two or three times to form a knot shape. Place the knots onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the knots bake, prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
As soon as the knots come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Sprinkle the knots with grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve the warm Garlic Knots immediately alongside your homemade Marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
You can use store-bought marinara sauce if you prefer a quicker option.
For extra flavor, let the garlic steep in the melted butter for 10 minutes before brushing onto the hot knots.
If you like a softer knot, cover them loosely with foil for the first 5 minutes of baking.
