Ingredients
Scale
2 Salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
1/2 cup Hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and lemon juice together.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush the top of each fillet evenly with the mustard mixture.
Place the chopped hazelnuts on a plate. Press the mustard-coated side of each salmon fillet into the nuts until well coated.
Place the crusted salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
Season with salt and pepper.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
Serve immediately and enjoy your creation!
Notes
Toast the hazelnuts lightly before chopping for the best flavor.
If you do not have Dijon mustard, you can substitute with whole-grain mustard.
This preparation works well with other nuts, like pecans or walnuts.
