Ingredients
Scale
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 ounces marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
Green food coloring
Red and green sprinkles
Red and green candies (like M&Ms or gumdrops)
Parchment paper
Instructions
Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine marshmallows and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
Add a few drops of green food coloring to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until evenly colored.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the bowl. Stir gently until the cereal is well coated with the green marshmallow mixture.
Let the mixture cool slightly until it’s easier to handle but still pliable.
Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Take about a 1/2 cup of the mixture and shape it into a wreath form on the prepared baking sheet. Make a hole in the center to create the wreath shape.
Repeat with the remaining mixture until you have your desired number of wreaths.
While the wreaths are still soft, decorate them with sprinkles and candies to look like festive ornaments.
Let the wreaths sit until they are firm, about 30 minutes to an hour.
Notes
For easier handling, you can lightly butter a spatula or spoon to help spread the mixture.
Get creative with your decorations! Use any festive candies or edible glitter you like.
These wreaths are best enjoyed within a day or two of making.
