Ingredients
Scale
15 ounces whole milk ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons hot honey, plus more for drizzling
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
Spread the ricotta mixture evenly into a small, oven-safe baking dish or shallow bowl.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the dip is warmed through.
Remove the dish from the oven. Drizzle the 3 tablespoons of hot honey over the top of the warm dip.
Garnish with the chopped fresh chives.
Serve immediately with your choice of crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a spicier dip, increase the amount of hot honey or add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ricotta mixture before baking.
If you do not have hot honey, mix 3 tablespoons of regular honey with 1/2 teaspoon of your favorite hot sauce.
You can serve this dip warm directly from the oven or at room temperature.
Serve with sturdy crackers, pita bread, carrot sticks, or cucumber slices.
