Make a coffee shop style Iced Brown Sugar Cinnamon Cold Brew at home using a simple brown sugar cinnamon syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold brew coffee concentrate
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream of choice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: Combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and let the syrup steep for 15 minutes if using a cinnamon stick. If using ground cinnamon, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove sediment.
  4. Discard the cinnamon stick or strain out ground cinnamon. Let the brown sugar cinnamon syrup cool completely.
  5. To assemble the drink, fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of the cooled brown sugar cinnamon syrup over the ice.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of cold brew concentrate.
  8. Top with 1/2 cup of your chosen milk or cream.
  9. Stir well before drinking. Adjust syrup to your preferred sweetness.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use less milk or increase the amount of cold brew concentrate.
  • You can make the syrup ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • If you do not have cold brew concentrate, use 1 cup of strongly brewed chilled coffee instead.
