Ingredients
Scale
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
2 shots Espresso (about 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee)
1 cup Oat Milk
Ice cubes
Instructions
Make the brown sugar syrup: Combine brown sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract, if using, into the syrup. Let it cool slightly.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Pour the cooled brown sugar syrup over the ice.
Brew your espresso shots (or strong coffee) and pour them over the syrup and ice.
Top with oat milk.
Stir gently before enjoying your homemade latte.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of syrup based on how sweet you like your drink.
For a less intense coffee flavor, use strongly brewed coffee instead of espresso.
If you don’t have brown sugar, you can substitute with granulated sugar, though the flavor profile will change slightly.
