Ingredients
Scale
1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
12 mini smoked sausages (like cocktail franks)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
Place one mini sausage at the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up the dough around the sausage, pinching the seam to seal.
Arrange the rolled sausages in a circular wreath shape on the prepared baking sheet, with the ends overlapping slightly.
Brush the entire wreath with the beaten egg wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For an extra festive touch, you can brush the wreaths with a little melted butter and sprinkle with fresh herbs after baking.
These can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
