These no-bake Peppermint Oreo Truffles are a festive and easy treat, perfect for holiday gatherings or a sweet indulgence. They combine crushed Oreos with cream cheese and a hint of peppermint, all dipped in chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs, softened cream cheese, and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract. Mix until well combined and a dough-like consistency forms.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Freeze the truffle balls for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Stir in the remaining 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract.
  7. Dip each frozen truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  8. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. If desired, sprinkle crushed candy canes over the wet chocolate before it sets.
  10. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.

Notes

  • For a professional finish, use a toothpick to remove excess chocolate drips.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • You can use dark or milk chocolate for dipping instead of white chocolate.
  • Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to your preference.
