Make easy, crowd-pleasing pigs in a blanket using crescent roll dough and mini sausages. This recipe yields flaky, golden appetizers perfect for any party or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 (14 ounce) package cocktail smoked sausages (Lil’ Smokies)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle lengthwise into three smaller, thinner strips. You should have 24 strips total.
  4. Take one cocktail sausage and wrap one dough strip tightly around it, starting at the wider end and rolling toward the tip. Pinch the ends to seal.
  5. Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce to create a glaze.
  7. Brush the tops of the wrapped sausages evenly with the butter glaze.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and puffed.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dips.

Notes

  • For a savory-sweet glaze, add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to the butter mixture.
  • Serve immediately with classic yellow mustard, honey mustard, or a creamy ranch dip.
  • If you prefer a flakier texture, substitute puff pastry sheets for the crescent rolls, cutting them into similar strips.
