Ingredients
Scale
1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
8 ounces cream cheese softened
12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
Black decorating gel or edible marker
Orange decorating gel or small orange sprinkles (for carrot noses)
Red decorating gel or small red candies (for mouths/buttons)
Instructions
Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs.
Transfer the crumbs to a medium bowl and add the softened cream cheese.
Mix the crumbs and cream cheese together until well combined and a dough forms.
Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package directions. You can use a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently.
Dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Gently tap off any excess chocolate.
Return the coated truffles to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Before the chocolate sets completely, decorate your snowmen. Use the black gel for eyes and a mouth. Use the orange decoration for the carrot nose.
Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or briefly in the refrigerator.
Notes
Sasha suggests tasting the dough before rolling to see if you want to add a touch of vanilla extract.
If the chocolate gets too thick while dipping, reheat it gently for a few seconds.
These truffles stay fresh in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
