- 8 ounces instant ramen noodles
- 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce, or to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup hot water, or as needed
- Optional garnishes: chopped peanuts, cilantro, sliced green onions
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/4 cup of the cooking water.
- While the noodles cook, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, sriracha, and minced garlic in a bowl.
- Gradually whisk in the hot water, a tablespoon at a time, until the sauce reaches your desired creamy consistency.
- Add the drained noodles to the bowl with the peanut sauce. Toss well to coat evenly.
- If the sauce seems too thick, add a little of the reserved noodle water to loosen it.
- Serve immediately, topped with your favorite garnishes.
Notes
- Adjust the sriracha or chili garlic sauce to control the spice level.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of sesame oil to the sauce.
- Feel free to add cooked chicken, tofu, or vegetables for a more complete meal.
