Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
  3. Add the Brussels sprouts to the skillet with the bacon drippings. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to brown.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  5. Pour the maple syrup mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet. Stir to coat them evenly.
  6. Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly caramelized, flipping halfway through.
  8. Return the Brussels sprouts to the skillet and toss with the cooked bacon pieces. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the maple syrup mixture.
  • If you prefer your Brussels sprouts crispier, you can roast them on the baking sheet for a few extra minutes.
