Ingredients
Scale
2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper, if using. Mix until you form a compound butter.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
Spread the seasoned butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can briefly place the baked salmon under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes at the end to slightly brown the top, mimicking a sear.
This recipe pairs well with steamed green beans or a side of rice pilaf for a complete meal.
If you prefer a stronger herb flavor, increase the dried parsley to 1/2 teaspoon.
