Ingredients
Scale
1 cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1 Chai Tea Bag (or 1 teaspoon loose chai tea)
1 tablespoon Vanilla Syrup (or 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract)
1 dash Ground Cinnamon (for topping, optional)
Instructions
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming, but do not let it boil.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Add the chai tea bag or loose tea to the hot milk.
Let the tea steep for 4 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your flavor.
Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose tea leaves.
Stir in the vanilla syrup or extract until fully combined.
If you have a milk frother, froth the mixture until light and airy. If not, whisk vigorously for a minute.
Pour the Vanilla Chai Steamer into your favorite mug.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
Anya suggests using whole milk for the creamiest result.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, start with more vanilla syrup and adjust to your taste.
For extra spice, you can warm a pinch of ground cardamom with the milk.
